Job Title: Project Controls Specialist II
Location: Lake Mary, FL 32746
Contract length: 12-month Contract
Pay: $50/hr - $55.60/hr

Project Controls Specialist II Description

• Intermediate level position on a Project Controls team
• Responsible for initiating and completing routine aspects of project cost control assignments with general oversight
• Will be expected to work with a small team of Project Controls Analysts and Schedulers
• Will perform cost analysis, forecasting, change control, and reporting for a portfolio of projects budgeted to spend tens of millions during the fiscal year
• Must be able to compare monthly actuals to the project baseline, identify variances, while simultaneously monitoring the projects' baseline plans and the fiscal budget
• Generate Periodic Project Controls Analytics
• Create periodic project analysis of gathered data through verification and validation in order to support project controls metrics
• Responsible for distributing and archiving project controls analysis as appropriate
• Will work in partnership with a more experienced Project Controls lead
• A basic understanding of budgets, direct and indirect labor charges, accruals, overheads, amortization, allocations are a critical knowledge requirement
• Must have strong problem solving skills and technical skills with the proven ability to integrate large amounts of data from multiple databases or systems
• Experience working in a PMO environment or on a project controls team is not required but is a plus
• Exposure to energy-related projects not required but is a plus
• Typically is assigned to multiple "White" and possibly "Green" projects per the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix
