Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Director – Aviation to join our team. The Project Director will serve as the single point of accountability for the delivery of the scope across both Terminal and Airfield packages within a major international airport development program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direction across the airport project and ensures service delivery excellence is achieved by the multidisciplinary project team.

  • Provide leadership across the project life-cycle and be responsible to ensure the client’s vision and objectives for an innovative, technology driven, future-proofed world class airport are delivered by third party consultants and the construction supply chain.

  • Responsible for overall scope management and delivery of the project such that the highest standards of design excellence, quality, sustainability, environmental compliance, and safety are achieved by multiple third-party consultancies and construction contractors.

  • Ensure all works are executed in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and aviation regulations.

  • Ensure proper coordination throughout construction activities within live airport operational environments while minimizing disruption.

  • Collaborate with design, commercial, project controls, ORAT, and stakeholder teams to ensure integrated delivery.

  • Lead constructability reviews and ensure modular and D&B efficiencies are incorporated into execution strategies.

  • Oversee interface management between terminal works, airside systems, utilities, and landside infrastructure.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 20 years of experience on major aviation and infrastructure programs.

  • Proven track record delivering large airports within Design & Build (D&B), EPC, or modular delivery environments.

  • Strong knowledge of airport operational constraints, logistics planning, and phased construction methodologies.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.

  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

  • Thorough knowledge of industry practices and standards, a working knowledge of international (European and American) codes and standards including aviation sector specific such as those published by the International Civil Aviation Authority.
