Project Director (Interior Fit-out)

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Director to lead our project delivery function and oversee multiple high-value interior fit-out projects across Singapore. This strategic leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring successful project execution, developing high-performing teams, and contributing to business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define project objectives, execution strategies, resource planning, and delivery timelines aligned with company goals.
  • Oversee the full project lifecycle, including feasibility studies, planning, tendering, design development, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project handover.
  • Drive site performance, construction progress, and critical path activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Lead and mentor multiple project teams, ensuring high-quality workmanship, timely delivery, compliance with contractual obligations, effective cost control, achievement of performance KPIs, and fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, collaboration, and safety.
  • Oversee coordination between the local project team and overseas in-house manufacturing facilities to ensure production schedules, quality standards, and logistics are aligned with project requirements.
  • Work closely with the Commercial and Technical teams to ensure effective post-contract administration, cost management, variation control, documentation, and technical compliance.
  • Proactively identify project risks and implement appropriate mitigation and contingency strategies to minimise commercial and operational impacts.
  • Collaborate closely with the Tender team during the pre-contract stage to develop competitive and compliant tender submissions, including technical write-ups, project execution methodologies, construction programmes, resource planning, value engineering proposals, technical clarifications, and client presentations, as well as participate in tender interviews.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through client engagement, networking, market intelligence, and relationship management to support the company's growth objectives.
  • Implement and monitor Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) systems and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards across all projects to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and client expectations.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations through regular reporting, site meetings, site inspections, and transparent communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification will be an advantage.
  • Minimum 10–15 years of experience in interior fit-out or construction project management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale hospitality, commercial, or high-end interior fit-out projects in Singapore.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in contract administration, budgeting, cost control, risk management, and project financial performance.
  • Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong understanding of Singapore construction regulations, industry best practices, and project delivery methodologies.
  • Familiarity with in-house manufacturing or overseas factory operations will be an advantage.
  • Ability to build strong client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.
