Project Director
Responsibilities
- Apply technical expertise to develop and implement safe execution methodologies during tender processes
- Ensure tenders meet overhead and budgetary targets and comply with contractual requirements
- Collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, and value chain partners to align project objectives
- Manage commercial aspects to achieve financial targets throughout the project lifecycle
- Lead and oversee project teams to deliver milestones on time within allocated resources and contractual terms
- Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies to drive project development from start to completion
- Develop detailed project implementation programmes and strategic plans for execution
- Prepare project briefs, requirements, and technical specifications for procurement of consultancy and construction contracts
- Identify and resolve project interface issues by working with all interfacing parties to implement mitigation measures
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and meet specified quality standards
- Independently lead project teams and manage team dynamics by assigning appropriate tasks to members
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in construction
- Strong knowledge of civil and structural engineering principles
- Familiarity with local authority regulations and submission processes
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Professional certification (e.g., PMP, PE, or equivalent) is an added advantage
- Experience managing large-scale construction projects
