Compensation – $110,000 to $130,000 full time rate annually (subject to experience)


About the Role

We are currently on the lookout for a confident Project Engineer to join our team based in Sydney, NSW supporting projects across the Defence portfolio.


Key Responsibility Areas:


  • Provide project support and assistance through the ownership and delivery of defined projects with best practice, client standards and the agreed outcomes and business benefits.
  • Prepare documentation including project plans, Gantt charts and specifications for minor projects.
  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects.
  • Assist to coordinate all project elements including QA/QC, logistics, reporting, compliance, subcontractor management, equipment control, supplies and project management administration.
  • Provide timely and efficient coordination and dissemination of project material and project support by undertaking administrative project tasks including managing and maintaining project briefs, project scheduling, action logs, budgets, and performance monitoring of projects.
  • Interact daily with Site Supervisors, Project Managers and other project personnel, providing assistance and technical support


Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum 3 to 5 year's experience in Asset Remediation, Civil Construction, Infrastructure or Defence environment.
  • Relevant degree in Engineering.
  • Possess technical knowledge in coatings, surface preparation, management of hazardous substances and application processes, being highly desirable; with experience in asset remediation and infrastructure projects, with blasting & painting and concrete rehabilitation works.
  • NACE 1 or 2 certified. (highly desirable but not essential)
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office (excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, etc).
  • Ability to work to project deadlines, budgets and team orientated.
