Project Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise on-site installation works, including cable laying, termination, containment/metal works, and equipment installation.

  • Liaise with civil contractors, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure smooth site execution and proper interface management.

  • Perform system testing, inspection, troubleshooting, and rectification during installation and commissioning stages.

  • Prepare and update drawings, as-built documentation, method statements, and test reports.

  • Provide technical support to the project team and assist in progress monitoring and reporting.

  • Ensure compliance with railway/infrastructure standards, safety procedures, and site practices.

  • Support project coordination and other assigned duties as required.

Job Requirements:

Education

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.

Experience

  • Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in railway, infrastructure, or large-scale construction projects.

  • Experience in system installation, testing, and commissioning is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Good understanding of railway/infrastructure standards and site safety procedures.

  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.

  • Able to work independently on-site and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in LTA rail projects or system works.

  • Familiar with AutoCAD or MicroStation CAD.

  • Experience in testing & commissioning activities is an advantage.
