Project Engineer - Marine Construction
Job scope/ Responsibilities:
- Drive project timelines by planning and coordinating on-site and off-site construction schedules.
- Track and report progress across all stages—keeping teams, clients, and consultants in the loop.
- Review drawings (civil, structural, architectural, M&E) to ensure everything lines up with project goals.
- Monitor site activities closely and produce daily, weekly, and monthly updates.
- Champion a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.
- Lead daily toolbox meetings and coordinate tasks with supervisors and safety teams.
- Liaise with REs and RTOs for inspections, and represent the team in client and safety meetings.
- Prepare and manage key submissions—RFIs, Method Statements, Risk Assessments, SWPs, drawings, and more.
- Keep project documentation organized and audit-ready for ISO standards.
Requirements:
- A Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimally 2 to 6 years of work experience in infrastructural or marine construction industry. Candidates with more experience will be considered for senior position. Fresh graduates will also be considered.
- Relevant project experiences in dredging, reclamation or near shore construction will be highly regarded.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and BCA regulations.
- Experience assisting in variable projects from time-to-time.
- Own vehicle will be highly advantageous.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
