Project Engineer
A project engineer (PJE) is responsible for managing and coordinating all engineering activities within a

budget. The role involves cross\-functional coordination, technical leadership, risk identification, and

ensuring seamless integration across all engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
<\/div>

1. Contract & Technical Management
<\/div>
<\/div>
Possess a strong understanding of contract requirements and technical specifications.
<\/div>
<\/div>
Develop integrated multidisciplinary engineering designs in compliance with contract scope and
<\/div>
<\/div>
applicable standards.
<\/div>
<\/div>
Identify \u201cgrey areas\u201d in the contract and highlight associated risks and opportunities.
<\/div>
<\/div>
Monitor and control technical scope throughout the project lifecycle.
<\/div>
<\/div>
Identify and prepare engineering scope changes and present them to the project manager.
<\/div>
<\/div>
2. Engineering Planning & Strategy
<\/div>
<\/div>
Define engineering strategy and provide inputs to the Project Execution Plan (PEP).
<\/div>
<\/div>
Guide the overall engineering process aligned with project objectives.
<\/div>
<\/div>
Ensure adherence to the Standard Project Execution Flow (SPEF).
<\/div>
<\/div>
Incorporate lessons learned from previous projects into ongoing engineering activities.
<\/div>
<\/div>
3. Coordination & Communication
<\/div>
<\/div>
Lead coordination among different engineering disciplines to ensure design integration.
<\/div>
<\/div>
Ensure effective communication of all design changes across the project team.
<\/div>
<\/div>
Manage engineering communication with internal stakeholders, vendors, and external parties.
<\/div>
<\/div>
Facilitate and lead SCRUM sessions to drive progress and resolve issues.
<\/div>
<\/div>
4. Engineering Control & Documentation
<\/div>
<\/div>
Initiate and oversee preparation of the Document Status List (DSL) in line with PMO templates. 12/16/2025

Review DSL to ensure completeness and alignment with project schedule and interdisciplinary

Manage engineering document flow across all stakeholders.

5. Procurement & Vendor Management

Review and approve purchase requisitions (PR).
<\/div>
<\/div>
Manage outsourced engineering packages in coordination with lead/package engineers.
<\/div>
<\/div>
Ensure vendor deliverables meet project requirements and timelines.
<\/div>
<\/div>
6. Quality, Risk & Compliance
<\/div>
<\/div>
Ensure all engineering activities comply with quality standards and contractual obligations.
<\/div>
<\/div>
Conduct necessary design reviews and checks to maintain engineering integrity.
<\/div>
<\/div>
Consult Product Technology Manager when design deviates from standard or proven solutions.
<\/div>
<\/div>
7. Budget & Schedule Management

<\/div>
Monitor and control engineering activities within approved budget and timelines.
<\/div>
<\/div>
Provide regular updates and forecasts on engineering progress.
<\/div>
<\/div>
8. Construction & Site Support
<\/div>
<\/div>
Coordinate resolution of technical queries from the construction site.
<\/div>
<\/div>
Provide engineering support during project execution and site activities.
<\/div>
<\/div>
Address engineering issues proactively to avoid delays or rework.
