Summary

The Senior / Project Engineer assists in managing construction projects by coordinating site activities, monitoring progress, and ensuring works meet design, quality, safety, and schedule requirements. The role involves liaising with consultants, subcontractors, and authorities, reviewing technical documents, and resolving site issues. The candidate will also support project documentation and ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from inception to completion.
  • ·Coordinate closely with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities to ensure smooth project execution and timely resolution of site issues.
  • Monitor project schedules and site progress, ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
  • Supervise daily site operations and provide technical guidance to resolve construction, design, and coordination issues on-site.
  • Review construction drawings, shop drawings, method statements, and technical submissions to ensure compliance and constructability.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of project documentation, including progress reports, site records, inspection reports, and as-built documentation.
  • Ensure strict compliance with workplace safety and health regulations, as well as company and project-specific safety requirements.
  • Participate in site meetings, coordination meetings, and technical discussions with internal teams, consultants, and external stakeholders.
  • Support project commissioning, testing, and handover activities, ensuring all works are completed to required standards.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned to support successful project delivery.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in building construction projects.
  • Experience in commercial, institutional, A&A (Addition & Alteration), or mixed-use development projects will be an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, site coordination, and project execution processes.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents accurately.
  • Familiar with local authority requirements, building regulations, and construction safety standards.
  • Strong problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
  • A proactive team player with good leadership potential and willingness to take ownership of site matters.
