Site Engineer (Semiconductor Hook-Up Project)
Work Location: Tampines (VSMC Project Site)
Job Summary
Reporting to the Site Manager, Construction Manager, Coordination Manager, Project Manager, or Project Director, the Site Engineer will lead and supervise semiconductor tool hook-up installation activities. The role is responsible for ensuring project delivery within schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements through effective coordination with subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise semiconductor tool hook-up installation works to ensure project milestones and deliverables are achieved.
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams to optimize project schedules, cost efficiency, quality, and safety performance.
Prepare Bill of Quantities (BQ) materials and coordinate procurement requirements.
Apply and manage Permit to Work (PTW) applications in accordance with site procedures.
Prepare, submit, and maintain engineering documentation, technical drawings, and project records.
Support the Project Manager in planning, monitoring, and controlling project execution to achieve schedule, cost, and scope objectives.
Coordinate utility system construction activities to support project requirements without affecting utility reliability.
Ensure timely submission and proper filing of all utility-related and project documentation.
Conduct routine site inspections to verify compliance with project specifications, relocation plans, and client requirements.
Monitor and enforce compliance with quality standards, workplace safety regulations, and company policies.
Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders on technical and site-related matters.
Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Project Manager or management team.
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of experience in VSMC Semiconductor Hook-Up projects.
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related disciplines.
Familiar with semiconductor construction and hook-up installation works.
Experience in PTW application, engineering documentation, and site coordination.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Proficient in both English and Mandarin (spoken and written) to liaise with Taiwan HQ and project stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in semiconductor fabrication plant projects.
Knowledge of utility systems, piping, process hook-up, and cleanroom environments.
Familiarity with VSMC project requirements and site procedures.
Possession of relevant safety certifications will be an added advantage.
