Project Inspector - Transmission Engineer (Pakil PSP)
Responsibilities:
- Inspect installation of transmission towers, poles, and line hardware.
- Monitor stringing, sagging, and tensioning of conductors and OPGW.
- Verify compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and standards.
- Witness testing and commissioning of transmission components.
- Ensure works align with hydro plant interconnection requirements.
- Review contractor ITPs and method statements.
- Conduct routine inspections and audits.
- Issue and monitor NCRs and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with project technical and grid standards.
- Maintain complete inspection documentation.
- Monitor compliance with HSE policies during erection and stringing.
- Conduct joint safety walkdowns.
- Ensure safe working at height and lifting operations.
- Report unsafe acts/conditions.
- Ensure environmental mitigation measures are implemented along ROW.
- Coordinate with dam/hydro plant electrical team for grid integration.
- Liaise with contractor, survey, and testing teams.
- Attend coordination and progress meetings.
- Support resolution of technical and ROW issues.
- Provide site clarifications and field instructions.
- Monitor daily installation progress.
- Validate quantities installed vs. contractor reports.
- Prepare daily/weekly progress and inspection reports.
- Identify risks affecting schedule or quality.
- Assist in verifying contractor progress claims.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field)
Master’s Degree in Power Systems Engineering
Licensed Electrical Engineer (PRC or equivalent)
PMP Certification
Safety Training (BOSH/COSH or equivalent)
ISO 9001 Internal Auditor Certification
QA/QC Training
Grid Code or Utility Compliance Training
Minimum 8–10 years of engineering experience
At least 5 years in transmission line or power infrastructure projects
Experience in dam and hydropower projects including plant-to-grid interface
Experience in tower erection, conductor stringing, and testing/commissioning
Experience working in remote or mountainous project sites preferred
Knowledge of transmission line design and installation standards
Familiarity with IEC/IEEE standards
Understanding of grid interconnection requirements
Knowledge of FIDIC contract provisions
Interpretation of electrical single line diagrams and layout drawings
Experience with SCADA integration
Testing & commissioning procedures
Primavera P6 familiarity
Quantity verification & progress validation
GIS knowledge
MS Office and reporting tools
Experience in renewable energy integration
