Role description\:

This role is responsible for delivering a large complex project, ensuring on time completion of milestones, within scope, and to a high standard. It requires managing multiple priorities across strategic initiatives while maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. The role requires coordinating cross-functional teams, managing risks, and ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery that meets customer expectations and business objectives.

Core Duties\:

  • Be accountable for the budget, performance and results of the team and project
  • Manage a small team of project professionals whilst working collaboratively with Principal Engineering Manager and System Design Authority to ensure correct management of the projects
  • Understand, track and drive all financials associated with the running of projects, including CSRs, invoicing, monitoring spend v forecast and ETCs, and a strong knowledge of Earn Value Management
  • Multi-task to changing priorities and tight timescales whilst providing clear direction, guidance and support to the project teams
  • Own all project plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges in support of PEM

  • Project Delivery experience of a large complex project
  • Knowledge of good Bid practice and process
  • Commercially astute
  • Financially astute
  • Able to resolve project related problems that do not have routine solutions
