Job Description\:

This role is responsible for supporting the successful delivery of IT and business change projects through effective planning, governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement. Working across the full project lifecycle, the postholder will help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with agreed objectives and quality standards.

Core duties\:

  • Provide expert guidance on project management tools, processes, and methodologies, ensuring adherence to best practice standards
  • Coordinate governance and assurance activities, including project boards, quality reviews, and stakeholder engagement forums
  • Monitor and manage project budgets, risks, dependencies, assumptions, issues, and opportunities to support informed decision-making and successful outcomes
  • Contribute to programme-level oversight by maintaining visibility of change, quality, financial, and configuration management activities across multiple projects
  • Work within both Agile and traditional delivery environments, applying appropriate project management approaches to meet business and customer needs
  • Support the development and evaluation of project proposals, helping to shape effective and deliverable solutions
  • Assist with commercial and financial activities, ensuring accurate reporting, forecasting, and budget management throughout the project lifecycle

Essential Skills\:

  • PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM, or equivalent project management qualification
  • Experience delivering IT and business change projects
  • Knowledge of project lifecycle management, governance, and delivery frameworks
  • Experience developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and reporting
  • Experience managing project risks, issues, dependencies, and associated mitigation activities
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively across project teams and stakeholders
