Overview
NES Fircroft is supporting a leading engineering organization in Singapore to hire an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of high-voltage power transmission and substation projects.
This role will be involved in managing end-to-end project execution across HV/EHV substations (66kV–400kV), ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the management and execution of power transmission and substation projects (66kV to 400kV)
- Coordinate project schedules, resources, and deliverables across multiple stakeholders
- Oversee site activities including installation, testing, and commissioning works
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal engineering teams
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
- Review and manage project documentation including method statements, drawings, and reports
- Support procurement, contract administration, and cost control activities
- Participate in project meetings and provide status updates to senior management
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- 5–10 years of experience in power transmission, substations, or EPC projects
- Experience working on HV/EHV systems (minimum 66kV and above)
- Exposure to GIS/AIS substations, transformers, and protection systems
- Strong understanding of project lifecycle (design → installation → commissioning)
- Experience managing site-based activities in Singapore or similar environments
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
