We are looking for highly skilled engineers with experience in the management of CAPEX projects to expand our teams in Nivelles and Mechelen. Depending on your relevant professional experience, you will be responsible as a Senior Project Engineer for packages, or as a Project Manager for the entire project.

Your scope of responsibilities:

\u2022\tProject Planning and Strategy:
<\/div>
\-\tDefine project objectives, scope, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
<\/div>
\-\tDevelop comprehensive project plans, including work breakdown structure, resource allocation, and project scheduling.
<\/div>
\-\tFormulate project strategies, risk management plans, and contingency measures.
<\/div>
\-\tDefine and organize internal staff planning
<\/div>

\u2022\tProject Execution and Monitoring:
<\/div>
\-\tCoordinate project activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, timelines, and budget.
<\/div>
\-\tManage and lead project teams, providing guidance, support, and motivation.
<\/div>
\-\tMonitor project progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions as needed.
<\/div>
\-\tConduct regular project status meetings, prepare progress reports, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
<\/div>

\u2022\tStakeholder Management:
<\/div>
\-\tCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to establish clear project communication channels.
<\/div>
\-\tFacilitate effective communication and manage expectations among team members, contractors, vendors, and clients.
<\/div>
\-\tResolve conflicts and address issues arising during the project lifecycle.
<\/div>
\-\tEnsure alignment of project objectives with stakeholders' needs and requirements.
<\/div>

\u2022\tBudgeting and Cost Control:
<\/div>
\-\tDevelop project budgets, considering resource requirements, procurement, and contingency planning.
<\/div>
\-\tMonitor project expenses, track costs, and implement measures to control and optimize expenditures.
<\/div>
\-\tReview and approve invoices, change orders, and payment requests in accordance with project guidelines.
<\/div>
\-\tOverlooking the profitability of Group IPS within the project and organize required scope changes.
<\/div>

\u2022\tQuality Assurance and Safety Compliance:
<\/div>
\-\tEstablish quality standards, inspection procedures, and quality control measures.
<\/div>
\-\tMonitor project deliverables to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
<\/div>
\-\tImplement and enforce safety policies, conduct safety audits, and promote a culture of safety among team members.
<\/div>

Requirements<\/h3>
  • Bachelor's + Master\u2019s degree in engineering
    <\/span><\/li>
  • A minimum of 15 years of professional experience of which at least 8 years of proven experience as a Project Manager, specifically overseeing medium/ large CAPEX industrial projects in any Primary and Metals, Chemicals, Life Science and Food & Beverages
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Sound knowledge of engineering principles, construction practices, and industrial standards.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Flexible for travelling within Belgium and Europe\- up to average of 60%.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Ability to manage multiple sub\-projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and permits related to industrial projects.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is strongly appreciated.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Fluent in English and French. Dutch is an asset.
