Job Description

You will work with Engineering, Program Managers, and Business Managers to bring our product roadmaps to life.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Your responsibilities span the product development life cycle from project initiation, throughout development, to product release. In this role, you:
    • Partner with global, multi-discipline engineering teams to manage project delivery plans, budgets, and resource plans.
    • Look beyond the current project state to identify dependencies, anticipate obstacles and risks, and proactively put mitigation and contingency plans in place.
    • Bring partners together to resolve complex project issues in the best interest of the Business.
    • Communicate progress, decisions, main issues, and mitigation plans to project stakeholders and senior leadership.
    • Ensure project agreement across other projects to avoid duplication or misaligned opportunities.
    • Provide input to product roadmaps and strategies to improve new product and feature delivery.
    • Manage the project to deliver the defined scope per the schedule, requirements, and cost. Work on the issues within and outside of the project.
    • Works with Product Manager to drive scope. Support the project team to estimate. Manages the project to deliver to scope. Initiate and manage change requests which affect the scope, getting support from the partners for any changes.
    • Lead the project team to develop the milestones which meet the expected deliverable. Document and reviews the milestones with the team. Recognize the need for course correction. Assemble the appropriate people to brainstorm ideas for correction. Manage the project.
    • Maintain and apply a broad understanding of financial management principles to ensure decisions are fiscally sound and responsible. Identify cost-effective approaches. Use the Rockwell financials tools for estimating, forecasting, reporting and tracking investment costs.
    • Confirm resource availability. Work with Functional Managers to secure resources needed to perform activities in the project to achieve time and on budget, based on documented estimates.
    • Understand the goals of the project and business and support the team in an Agile methodology. Ensure the team delivers the execution artifacts needed for a well-documented and auditable project. Make use of the lessons learned process, risk management, change management and other tools to deliver a good quality product.
    • Understands the product roadmaps. Possess firsthand knowledge of the Annual Operating Plan and how the project fit into it. Recognize agreement of strategy with the Business and incorporate that information into project planning and execution.
    • Demonstrate success at simultaneously across global locations.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Management, Engineering Business or Computer science.
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Engineering, Business, Computer Science or other related field.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience, knowledge of RA and knowledge relevant to technical responsibilities.
  • Have experience in Agile Project Management.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
  • Be adaptive to working with global, multi-discipline project teams.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Certified Scum Master / Release Train Engineer is desirable.
