Project Manager, Strategic Facility Planning

Position Overview

United Health Services (UHS) is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Manager of Strategic Facility Planning, to oversee construction and renovation projects within our healthcare facilities. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with UHS standards, while maintaining a strong focus on patient care and operational continuity.
This position, which supports the strategic plan, is responsible for the development and implementation of project plans, maintains up-to-date status reports, requires budget management and collaborates with various subject matter experts across the UHS system to ensure successful project outcomes.

There is more than one location associated with this position. This is either because there are multiple openings at different sites, or the successful candidate will be required to float across multiple UHS facilities. $37.00 - $55.50 per hour, depending on experience

Position Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end project lifecycle from scope definition through execution, delivery, and transition to operations
Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and define clear, achievable project deliverables
Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and resource allocations
Monitor project performance, proactively identify risks/issues, and implement corrective actions to stay on track
Manage scope, schedule, and budget through structured change control processes
Communicate project status, risks, and key updates to leadership and stakeholders on a regular basis
Conduct on-site engagement with hospital departments to identify risks early and ensure minimal disruption to patient care
Coordinate department relocations related to construction or renovation projects
Evaluate and recommend solutions for scope, cost, and timeline changes
Ensure successful project closure, including handoff to operations and stakeholder acceptance

Position Qualifications

Minimum Required:

Bachelor’s Degree
Four (4) Years of Project Management experience
PMI (PMP) Certification within 12 - 24 months of hire

Preferred:

Five (5) years of healthcare experience
Three (3) years Construction and/or Facilities Management experience
Project Management Certification (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
