Job Description:

Primary Function: Responsible for leading and delivering marketing and communications projects from initiation through completion, with a strong focus on strategy, organization, and collaboration; oversees complex, high-visibility initiatives by defining project scope, goals, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, while managing workflows and ensuring alignment with strategic priorities; coordinates closely with internal teams, campus partners, and external stakeholders, proactively identifying and resolving risks, and continuously improving processes and project management practices; acts as the primary point of review for project requests, ensuring efforts support broader organizational goals, and provides consistent updates to leadership; oversees departmental budget; participates in planning and committee work; and represents University Relations across campus initiatives.

Minimum Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; at least five years of combined experience in higher education, marketing, communications or project management; strong understanding of project management concepts and tools, MarComm roles, and complex budgeting; familiarity with Agile basics; strong attention to detail and organization; and excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills required.

Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated experience managing a broad portfolio of MarComm projects preferred.
