PROJECT MANAGER

• Plan, organize and carry out project management activities to ensure that assigned projects are executed in a smooth and effective manner to achieve and exceed the cost, quality, timelines, and customer satisfaction objectives;

• Ensure that safety procedures are incorporated in all project activities and take initiatives to promote a safe working culture;

• Review contract documentation in conjunction with B.Q., SOR and material specifications;

• Manage the profit and loss of the project;

• Plan for site mobilization and work execution;

• Prepare work schedules and master programs with relevant parties

• Ensure that progress and other reports are put up in a timely manner as required;

• Monitor project cost budgets and ensure that desired profit margins are achieved through cost containment, material wastage control, etc;

• Ensure project performance through close supervision, site checks, close monitoring of site progress and swift resolution of any quality and work schedule issues;

• Ensure that shop drawings are completed and submissions to the authorities are carried out in a timely manner with the Drafting Department and other relevant external parties

• Attend/Chair project kick-off meetings, daily meetings and progress meetings with clients, consultants and other parties;

• Undertake role as chairman for project safety committee

• Undertake role as approving manager for risk assessment and permit to work

• Perform all safety related roles as mandated/required by legal and other requirements

• Update and summarize all project development performance in monthly management meetings;

• Liaise with suppliers and sub-contractors on contractual and work matters;

• Ensures timely response to consultants’ and all other requests in a proactive and timely manner;

• Provide effective leadership to team members through coaching, mentoring, and motivating on an ongoing basis and ensuring that good teamwork and esprit-de-corps exist in the Project team

• Ensures that all project documentation is maintained effectively including email communication;

• Sets key performance indicators for project team members, tracking, monitoring, and assessing their performance on an ongoing basis

• Any other duties as may be assigned.
