Job Summary
Is accountable for the end-to-end execution of customer projects, ensuring delivery is completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with company standards and best-in-class project management practices. Takes full ownership of the project from the handover by the Proposal Management and Sales teams through to customer final acceptance and handover to Customer Services, ensuring seamless coordination and flawless execution across all phases, on time and budget.
Key Areas of Responsibility
• Develops the project schedule in alignment with all key stakeholders. Provides regular updates to both the customer and internal management teams to ensure transparency and alignment.
• Works closely with the Order Management Specialist to create the project in SAP, place material and service orders, and follow up on logistics to ensure timely delivery to the customer site.
• Collaborates with the Procurement Manager to define subcontractor scope and establish contractual agreements. Oversees subcontractor activities to ensure delivery in line with project requirements.
• Coordinates with System Engineers to ensure the correct technical implementation of the lighting system.
• Leads the formal handover to the Customer Services team upon project completion and customer acceptance, ensuring smooth transition and continuity.
• Ensures compliance with the O2C (Order-to-Cash) Customer Project Management process. Manages all required documentation, reviews, checklists, and approvals through each project stage gate.
• Maintains regular and structured communication with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Keeps the Sales team informed of progress and escalates any critical issues as needed.
• Serves as the primary point of contact during project execution, ensuring professional and effective communication with the customer.
• Manages the project’s P&L and actively identifies opportunities to improve margin. Ensures that financial data is accurately and punctually updated in SAP and relevant tools. Oversees timely WBS closure in alignment with the sales recognition plan.
• Adheres to the Change Order Policy, including obtaining necessary approvals. Identifies and manages project risks, escalating when required. Actively looks for up-selling opportunities to enhance project profitability.
• May participate in formal offer reviews prior to proposal submission to ensure site-related costs are accurately reflected.
• Takes ownership on their own learning on project management best practices and standards
Critical Experiences
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field with a focus on project management principles.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing customer projects in sales and service environments, with proven success in project execution, financial management, and risk mitigation.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent recognized project management certification is mandatory for senior roles, to ensure adherence to standardized project management methodologies.
