Projects I
As a Project I, you will perform project-driven maintenance and repair work across multiple trade disciplines, including carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, plumbing, and basic electrical repairs. This role requires strong craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting resort operations and special projects.

What You'll Do as a Project I:
• Complete engineering projects, preventative maintenance, guest service requests, and resort improvement projects.
• Repair interior and exterior walls, ceilings, drywall, textures, painting, and caulking.
• Repair and replace flooring materials, including tile, grout, vinyl, and carpet.
• Perform basic plumbing and electrical repairs, including fixture replacement and troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot and repair household appliances and building fixtures as needed.
• Assist with procurement, inventory management, and ensuring materials and tools are available for assigned projects.
• Utilize maintenance management software (HotSOS and other applicable systems) to complete work orders.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolds, lifts, and other maintenance equipment.
• Identify and report safety hazards while following all company safety policies and procedures.
• Communicate professionally with guests, team members, and leadership to resolve maintenance concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Will Bring as a Project I:
• One (1) to three (3) years of hands-on maintenance or skilled trades experience in a resort, hospitality, or commercial environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification required, or the ability to obtain it if required by the resort.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Experience with drywall, painting, texture finishing, flooring repairs, plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, and appliance repair.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.
• Basic computer skills and experience using maintenance management software preferred.
Requirements:
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolds, lifts, and other maintenance equipment while using appropriate PPE.
• Ability to regularly lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules as needed.
• Required to pass a background check, drug test, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• Must uphold Westgate Resorts' standards of professionalism, integrity, safety, and guest service.
