SUMMARY:

Performs floor and building maintenance to keep the property clean and orderly.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and painting to create a safe and sanitary environment for internal and external guests.
Responsible for floor care, general light-duty building maintenance, and painting to maintain the appearance of the hotel and casino.
Must be able to safely operate machinery, buffers, extractors, power washer, etc. and small hand tools in a safe manner.
Strips, seals, and polishes floors as needed, and paints.
Maintains carpet and upholstered furniture by vacuuming and shampooing.
Maintains exterior lawns, walkways and parking lots.
Maintains restroom floors and entrances.
Transports all equipment, chemicals, and/or tools between departments.
Maintains and replaces worn parts when necessary in operating machinery.
Prepares floor covering before painting.
Follows instruction labels on chemicals and equipment.
Assists Facility Engineer Techs with work orders and projects as requested.
Ability to work flexible hours, shifts, or days as determined by business demands.
Performs all functions in accordance with Tribal, Federal, and State Health and safety Regulations, Gaming Regulations, and Bluewater Resort & Casino policies and procedures.
All other duties as assigned (job description permitting) or as approved by the Tribal Gaming Agency.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures.

Ability to learn new maintenance techniques and processes.
Works well in a dynamic team environment.
Excellent knowledge and technique of floor surfaces, their appropriate care, and the proper use of floor care chemicals and equipment.
Prior floor care, chemicals, and equipment experience preferred; knowledge of painting with rollers and brushes is required.
Ability to comprehend and follow detailed instructions in English.
Excellent customer service skills; ability to provide customer service when interacting with the public and our customers throughout the work day.
