Are you looking to build your career in underwriting and play a key role in delivering outstanding client service? Chubb is seeking a Property Underwriting Assistant to support our NZ Property Underwriting team and help deliver a high-quality experience for our brokers and clients.
In this role, you’ll take ownership of policy administration and provide end-to-end support to the Underwriter. You’ll be involved in a broad range of activities including liaising with underwriters and brokers, supporting Indigenous and Multinational placements, handling policy and accounting queries, and assisting with quotes for new business and renewals in line with Chubb’s risk appetite. You’ll also ensure policy documentation is issued accurately and within agreed service levels.
What you’ll be doing
- Act as the first point of contact for Property business processing
- Prepare underwriting files for renewals and new business
- Input data into underwriting systems and compile submission information, policy details, claims history and CAT modelling
- Draft quotes in line with underwriting instructions
- Liaise with internal teams including Credit Control, Claims and Risk
- Follow up brokers for outstanding placement documents and premium invoicing
- Quote and bind endorsements, and coordinate premium amendments
- Assist with reconciliation of aged finance items
- Ensure underwriting files are complete, accurate and audit-ready
- Maintain accurate policy tracking and workflow tools
- Support the development and testing of business processing tools as a subject matter expert
- Assist with other ad hoc tasks as required by the NZ Property Manager

- ANZIIF qualification, or study toward ANZIIF, is desirable
