The PSOC Manager is a senior leadership role accountable for the comprehensive management and operational success of both the Physical Security Operations Center (PSOC) and the ASOC. This individual drives the maturity of the security operations, fosters value creation, and ensures that all reporting teams operate cohesively to maintain continuity, resilience, and efficiency of all physical security monitoring and response activities.
The PSOC Manager is the cornerstone of the organization's physical security function, ensuring integrity, effectiveness, and adaptability in protecting the company’s assets and interests. This role demands strategic vision, exemplary management skills, and a proactive approach to security operations to anticipate and manage potential threats dynamically. Drawing from best practices in global operations, this position oversees 24/7/365 monitoring, incident response, and risk management.
Responsibilities
- Represent Pinkerton’s core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
- Oversee PSOC and ASOC operations, ensuring seamless operations across shifts including alarm/event monitoring, travel security, access control, and incident coordination.
- Lead and mentor teams, providing training, career development, and performance guidance within a culture of continuous professional development.
- Develop and execute strategies aimed at maturing the organization's capabilities in physical security management, technological integration, and process refinement.
- Develop, implement, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for effective incident response and crisis management.
- Act as primary contact during incidents, coordinating response efforts with stakeholders and conducting risk assessments.
- Maintain technological platforms and drive innovation through tech adoption, seeking out opportunities for innovation and improvement
- Collaborate with the intelligence team to integrate actionable intelligence into security operational practices effectively.
- Manage staffing, resources, and compliance with regulations and best practices as well as assess and manage risks that could impact operational effectiveness.
- Hold accountability for the PSOC's performance, including setting objectives, KPIs, and service level agreements, as well as ensuring compliance with all relevant industry regulations and company policies.
- Compile reports for global stakeholders on all operations, activities, metrics, and strategies; foster client relationships.
- Ensure continuous improvement, professional development, and alignment with organizational goals.
- All other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Business Administration, or related field; Master's or specialized qualifications preferred. Minimum 8 years in security operations, with at least 4 years in a SOC environment. Relevant certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP) are desirable.
