International Community Schools (ICS) Al Mushrif, a leading American curriculum school in Abu Dhabi, is seeking an enthusiastic and highly qualified Psychology Teacher to join our dedicated academic team for Cycle 3. Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>

• Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or a closely related field (e.g., Educational Psychology) from an accredited university.<\/li>
• Master's Degree in Psychology or Education is highly preferred.<\/li>
• Valid, professional teaching license/certification in Secondary Education (with a Psychology endorsement where applicable) from a recognized US state or equivalent jurisdiction.<\/li>
• Relevant academic transcripts and degree certificates must be attested as per UAE Ministry of Education requirements upon employment.<\/li><\/ul>

  Experience Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>

  • Minimum of 2\-3 years of full\-time, post\-qualification teaching experience in Psychology at the high school level (Grades 9\-12).<\/li>
  • Demonstrated experience teaching the American curriculum<\/strong> and adhering to US standards<\/strong> for Psychology.<\/li>
  • Experience with the Advanced Placement (AP) Psychology<\/strong> curriculum and a proven track record of student success in AP exams is a significant advantage.<\/li>
  • Previous experience in an international school setting, particularly in the UAE or Middle East, is highly desirable.<\/li><\/ul>

    • Proficiency in utilizing educational technology, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), interactive whiteboards, and digital assessment tools, to enhance student learning.<\/li>

    • Expertise in designing and implementing engaging lesson plans aligned with American curriculum standards<\/strong>.<\/li>

    • Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.<\/li>

      • In\-depth knowledge and practical experience in delivering the American curriculum<\/strong>, specifically focusing on US national and state standards<\/strong> for high school Psychology.<\/li>
      • Thorough understanding of instructional best practices tailored for an American educational framework<\/strong>, including formative and summative assessment strategies.<\/li>
      • Familiarity with the expectations and requirements for teaching AP Psychology<\/strong> and preparing students for the AP examination.<\/li>

        UAE\-Specific Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>

        • Full compliance with the regulations and professional standards set by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK).<\/li>
        • Willingness and eligibility to undergo and successfully complete the ADEK teacher licensing and approval process upon employment.<\/li>
        • Understanding of and respect for the local culture, values, and traditions of the UAE.<\/li>
        • Ability to meet all UAE visa requirements and successfully pass mandatory criminal background checks.<\/li><\/ul>
