Position Summary<\/b>

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) assists in implementing patient\-specific rehabilitative plans of care under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This role focuses on providing high\-quality, evidence\-based care to support patients in achieving their functional goals and improving overall mobility and independence.

Key Responsibilities<\/b>
<\/p>

  • Carry out treatment plans as established by the supervising Physical Therapist
    <\/li>
  • Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, modalities, and functional training
    <\/li>
  • Monitor patient responses to treatment and report progress or concerns to the Physical Therapist
    <\/li>
  • Accurately document all services provided in a timely and compliant manner
    <\/li>
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety techniques
    <\/li>
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment
    <\/li>
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated patient care
    <\/li><\/ul>

    Qualifications<\/b>
    <\/p>

    • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
      <\/li>
    • Current North Carolina PTA license (or eligibility for licensure)
      <\/li>
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
      <\/li>
    • Ability to work independently while following established treatment plans
      <\/li>
    • Experience in a skilled nursing or rehab setting preferred (but not required)
      <\/li><\/ul>

        Requirements<\/h3>

        Graduate from an accredited physical therapist assistants\u2019\nprogram with an Associate\u2019s degree approved by the American Physical Therapy\nAssociation. Licensed or Certified by the state in which the Physical Therapist\nAssistant resides or practices according to state requirements.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
