PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHER

This position is a Public Safety Dispatcher, GS- 2151-6/7 working in Phoenix, Arizona for the AZ950-DIVISION OF BUSINESS AND SUPPORT SERVICE. Additional Vacancies: One or more positions may be filled from applications received under this announcement in the advertised office or other Bureau of Land Management offices in the local commuting area.

Perform emergency and non-emergency dispatch and call taking services for public safety incidents and operations in a regional communications center serving multiple National Parks.

Monitor and track equipment and personnel such as law enforcement, structural fire, wildland fire, aviation, vessels, and search and rescue using a Computer Aided Dispatch program

Operate a multi-frequency radio console and prioritizes radio traffic and related communications

Utilize National Crime Information Center and other law enforcement databases and records management systems

Perform record management, general public assistance, assistance to other park offices and partners, and projects as assigned in support of the Visitor and Resource Protection Division
