Where You’ll Fit:

We are seeking a highly organized and driven Purchasing & Production Manager to oversee material procurement, vendor relationships, and assist with production scheduling for our growing design-build landscaping division.

This role is critical to ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and at the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands construction and landscaping operations, and can effectively coordinate between design, field crews, and vendors.


What You’ll Build:

Purchasing & Vendor Management

  • Source and procure materials for landscaping and hardscaping projects (plants, stone, pavers, lighting, irrigation, etc.)
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships; negotiate pricing and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Ensure timely ordering and delivery aligned with production schedules
  • Maintain accurate purchase orders and inventory tracking

Production & Scheduling

  • Develop and manage Gantt schedules to coordinate crews, materials, and project timelines
  • Align labor, equipment, and materials to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime
  • Coordinate with the design team to ensure smooth project handoffs and crew mobilization
  • Monitor timelines and proactively adjust as needed

Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Track job costs and work with leadership to maintain target profit margins
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements
  • Support estimating through material takeoffs and vendor pricing as needed

Your Foundation:

  • 3+ years in landscaping, construction, or production management
  • Knowledge of landscaping materials, hardscaping, and installation processes preferred
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with purchasing, vendor negotiation, and scheduling
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; project management or CRM software a plus
