Purchasing Assistant (West/Up to 3.4k)

Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm

This job role is to support the procurement team mainly. The job entails learning the Purchaser's functions such as PO issuance, reconciliation of DOs with POs and invoices in order to assist the Purchaser. At times, may need to source for new suppliers and vendors.

  • Use in-house procurement system to issue POs, reconciliation of delivery orders with purchase orders and invoices.
  • Liaise with suppliers and vendors.
  • Verify the documentation accuracy from Suppliers and vendors.
  • Source new suppliers/vendors and do the price comparison when necessary.
  • Work with purchase or service requests from Site team, Store teams and Maintenance team.
  • Work with Accounts team to achieve timely and correct documentation for payment.
  • Assist any assignment work given by Superior.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma and above preferably with a supply chain/ logistics education qualification.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in office admin work.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply as well.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 - High level of competence in Excel will be favourable.
  • Focus on document details and always checks own work.
  • Quick and accurate in processing data entry.
  • Good analytical skills, able to organise information and clearly convey to others.
  • Keep to task timeline to achieve team performance.
  • Ability to follow SOP and improve the current work task.
  • Takes the initiative and self-driven to overcome any work challenges.
  • Good problem-solving skills to address the work challenges
