Job Summary

You will source and negotiate with local and overseas commercial kitchen equipment suppliers to secure cost-effective purchases. Manage budgets, prepare cost estimates, and maintain inventory accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Source new commercial kitchen equipment suppliers and vendors locally and overseas to expand procurement options
  • Negotiate terms and prices with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable contract conditions
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates to support budgeting and purchasing decisions
  • Manage procurement budgets to ensure spending aligns with financial plans
  • Maintain accurate inventory records to optimize stock levels and reduce shortages or excess
  • Communicate effectively in English and Mandarin, both spoken and written, to coordinate with suppliers and internal teams
  • Utilize relevant software tools to track purchases, inventory, and supplier information
  • Apply problem-solving skills to resolve procurement issues and supplier challenges promptly
  • Adapt to a fast-paced work environment while maintaining a positive and proactive attitude

Required competencies and certifications

  • Proficient in English and Mandarin (spoken and written) to facilitate clear communication with diverse suppliers and stakeholders
  • Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience to ensure expertise in procurement processes and supplier management

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Knowledge of procurement or inventory management software to enhance operational efficiency
  • Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills to support negotiation and issue resolution
