Purchasing Supervisor/ Manager
Responsibilities:-
• Develop strategic plans for the purchasing function
• Contributes to deliver bottom line/top line results, managing own spend/projects according to long term planning and upfront targets defined
• Conducts periodic risk assessment, designing and managing adequate countermeasures for selected spend
• To review with vendors on quality issues and ensure corrective and preventive actions are taken by vendors
• Review & plan purchasing order through :Internal : collect related customer inquiries from Sales on specification and lead time
• External : sourcing suppliers, networking, market information and negotiation
• Prepare cost estimates, tender, contracts and price finalizing for project tender submission
• Render support to business leaders for all project procurement matters
• Source for required material and suppliers, either directly or through consultant
• Procurement of material and negotiation with suppliers, ensuring price is always competitive and landed cost evaluation is performed
• Evaluate prices and suppliers and make selection recommendation to project and stakeholders
• Manage and plan Inbound Shipping : manage delivery suppliers (UPS), negotiate discount rate
• Manage Capital Equipment with engineering knowledge
• BOM and material planning to ensure smooth delivery at min. inventory level
• Yearly cost saving initiatives
Requirements:
• Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain/ Business Management with at least 5-8 years experience in EMS/ Manufacturing environment
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Exercises sound judgment based on factual data and analysis
• Strong project management, change management and strong leadership skills
• Strong analytical skills including mathematics, statistics and problem solving
• Capability to evaluate and mitigate risks in the planning process
• Proven negotiation skills in dealing with customers and internal challenges
• Must be a team player and possess with strong leadership skills
