QA Engineer (CAD)
We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer \u2013 CAD Applications with strong experience in testing CAD\-based or engineering software solutions. The role involves validating CAD functionalities, automation workflows, and system integrations to ensure high\-quality delivery of engineering applications.

Key Responsibilities

Testing & Validation<\/b>
<\/div>
<\/div>
- Plan, design, and execute functional, integration, and regression testing for CAD applications, plugins, and add\-ins.
<\/span><\/li>- Validate CAD functionalities related to geometry creation, feature operations, parametric design, assemblies, and drawings.
<\/span><\/li>- Perform end\-to\-end testing of CAD automation workflows and rule\-based engineering logic.
<\/span><\/li>- Execute installation, upgrade, and compatibility testing across multiple CAD versions and environments.
<\/span><\/li>- Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and production validation for CAD\-based solutions.
<\/span><\/li>- Automation & Quality Improvements
<\/span><\/li>- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for CAD applications wherever feasible.
<\/span><\/li>- Validate APIs, data exchanges, and integrations between CAD systems and external platforms (PLM, ERP, databases, cloud services).
<\/span><\/li>- Identify performance, stability, and data\-integrity issues specific to CAD and desktop\-based applications.
<\/span><\/li>- Contribute to QA best practices, reusable test assets, and process improvements for CAD projects.

<\/div>Collaboration & Reporting<\/b>
<\/div>- Collaborate closely with CAD developers, product owners, and domain experts to clarify requirements and expected behavior.
<\/span><\/li>- Log, track, and manage defects using tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps, ensuring timely resolution.
<\/span><\/li>- Provide QA estimates, test plans, execution status, and quality metrics during sprint planning and reviews.
<\/span><\/li>- Ensure test cases, test results, and QA documentation are accurate and up to date.
<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/span>Requirements<\/h3>
Required Skills & Experience<\/b>
<\/div>- 3\u20135 years of experience in QA/testing of CAD applications or engineering software.
<\/span><\/li>- Hands\-on experience testing CAD platforms such as Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, Revit, or similar tools.
<\/span><\/li>- Strong understanding of engineering workflows, parametric modeling, and geometric concepts.
<\/span><\/li>- Experience in manual testing of desktop applications, plugins, or CAD add\-ins.
<\/span><\/li>- Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman or similar) and basic database validation.
<\/span><\/li>- Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
<\/span><\/li>- Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills.
<\/span><\/li><\/ul>Preferred Qualifications<\/b>
<\/div>- Bachelor\u2019s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
<\/span><\/li>- Experience testing engineering, AECO, infrastructure, or manufacturing domain applications.
<\/span><\/li>- Exposure to CAD automation, engineering configurators, or rule\-based design systems.
<\/span><\/li>- Familiarity with Autodesk Platform Services (APS) or CAD cloud integrations is a plus.
<\/span><\/li>- Experience with performance, stability, or regression testing for engineering applications.
