Your Mission
As a QA Engineer at Canopy, you will help ensure we ship reliable, thoughtful, and high-quality product experiences for patients, care teams, and customers.
You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Customer Success, and Clinical teams to analyze new features, identify risks and gaps early, define strong testing coverage, and improve QA processes across the company.
This role is about more than finding bugs. It is about raising the quality bar for everything we build.
What You’ll Do
- Create detailed test specifications for new features, covering expected behavior, user flows, system dependencies, edge cases, regression risks, and acceptance criteria.
- Review product specs and designs to identify missing requirements, unclear behavior, and potential user or business issues.
- Create and execute test plans for web applications, backend workflows, APIs, integrations, and internal tools.
- Investigate and validate product behavior using APIs, database queries, browser DevTools and logs.
- Build and maintain automated tests using AI
- Help define and improve QA processes, including release readiness, regression strategy, bug reporting, and quality standards.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to improve release confidence and make smart quality tradeoffs.
What You’ll Bring
- 2+ years of experience in QA, Software Testing, Product Quality, or a similar role.
- Strong analytical thinking and the ability to understand complex product flows.
- Strong product judgment and the ability to think from the perspective of users and the business.
- Experience testing web applications, APIs, backend workflows, and cross-system product flows.
- Comfortable working with technical tools such as APIs, database queries, browser DevTools, logs, and staging environments to investigate issues and validate behavior.
- Experience creating test plans, test cases, regression coverage, and clear bug reports.
- Ability to work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, and customer-facing teams.
- Excellent attention to detail, ownership, and follow-through.
- A process-oriented mindset and a desire to improve how teams build and release software.
- Comfort using AI tools to accelerate testing, automation, and coverage analysis.
- Passion, curiosity, and energy for the QA profession.
Bonus Points
- Experience in release management.
- Experience in healthcare, digital health, enterprise SaaS, or regulated environments.
- Experience with automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or similar.
- Experience using AI-assisted coding or test-generation tools.
