About the role

You'll help ensure the quality and reliability of one of Salmon's key growth products by testing and improving customer-facing referral experiences.

What you'll work on

  • A referral platform used by promoters, partners, and customers across the Philippines

  • Product initiatives including PWA migration, Agent App integration, and new tools for referral program growth

  • Customer-facing workflows where product quality directly affects acquisition, activation, and partner engagement

What you'll be responsible for

  • Test new product features and improvements across referral and promoter-facing applications

  • Design and execute test scenarios using structured test design techniques

  • Build and maintain API test coverage using Postman, Newman, Supertest, or similar tools

  • Validate user journeys, usability, and interface quality across web applications

  • Verify application behavior across different browsers, devices, and operating systems

  • Perform performance testing and analyze system behavior under load

  • Identify, document, and investigate defects, risks, and quality issues

  • Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines to improve release confidence and test coverage

  • Partner with Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers to maintain quality throughout the development lifecycle

What we need

  • 3+ years of experience testing web applications

  • Strong manual testing skills and experience creating test cases and test documentation

  • Experience testing REST APIs and GraphQL services

  • Hands-on experience with Postman, Newman, Supertest, or similar API testing tools

  • Understanding of modern frontend applications and rendering approaches, including SSR, SSG, and client-side rendering

  • Experience with cross-browser and cross-device testing

  • Familiarity with browser developer tools and debugging techniques

  • Experience integrating tests into CI/CD workflows

  • Good understanding of software testing principles, test design techniques, and quality assurance practices

Good to have

  • Experience with performance testing tools such as k6

  • Understanding of common web security risks, including XSS, CSRF, and SQL injection

  • Experience working on growth, referral, marketplace, or other customer-facing products
