QA/QC Engineer -Mechanical (MEP)

The Mechanical QA/QC Engineer is responsible for overseeing quality control and assurance processes related to mechanical systems in MEP projects. This includes ensuring that HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems are installed as per project specifications, codes, and industry standards.

  • Review and approve method statements, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), and material submittals for mechanical systems.
  • Perform inspections and tests on HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire-fighting installations.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, and other relevant standards.
  • Coordinate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors on quality-related matters.
  • Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation including inspection reports, test certificates, and as-built records.
  • Identify non-conformities, raise NCRs, and follow up on corrective/preventive actions.
  • Monitor work progress to ensure timely completion of quality inspections and tests.
  • Support testing and commissioning activities for mechanical systems.
  • Participate in internal and external quality audits.
  • Assist in preparing final project handover documentation.
