Jayakas INC is a U.S.-based importer specializing in high-quality wood and metal components for the furniture and building industries. Our Vietnam-based team ensures that only products meeting U.S. standards are shipped, and we work closely with local factories to uphold these standards. We're seeking a QC Associate to support our hands-on inspection and quality assurance process at the factory level.
Job Summary:
The QC Associate will assist the QC Leader in conducting inspections, reporting quality status, and following up with factories to ensure outgoing products meet Jayakas quality requirements. This position requires frequent travel between factories in Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong, attention to detail, and timely communication with the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect outgoing wood and metal products at various factory locations to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
- Use tools (e.g., calipers, measuring tapes) to verify dimensions, finishes, and construction of components.
- Accurately complete inspection checklists and issue inspection reports on time.
- Take clear and well-documented photos of inspection results for internal records and U.S. team communication.
- Timely report quality issues and inspection results to the QC Team Leader; escalate urgent or unresolved matters to higher management when needed.
- Follow up and provide feedback on the progress of ongoing orders as assigned.
- Assist in verifying packing, labeling, and container loading (if required) to ensure export readiness.
- Coordinate with factory personnel to clarify and address technical or visual quality issues.
- Travel regularly among factory locations in Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the QC Team Leader or Manager.
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in quality control, preferably in wood, metal, furniture, or manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with inspection tools and QC procedures.
- Strong organizational and observational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and photo documentation.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Bilingual ability in Vietnamese and English is a strong advantage.
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently in factory settings.
- Willingness to travel daily between sites as required.
