QC Technician

Overview:
The Quality Control (QC) Technician ensures that products meet quality standards before shipment. This role involves visual and functional inspections, documentation, and communication with production and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform visual inspections on mechanical and electronic components
  • Conduct functional tests using standard testing equipment
  • Troubleshoot test equipment problems and perform minor repairs
  • Meet daily production QC targets
  • Document findings and report non-conformities
  • Work with Engineering to understand specifications and tolerances
  • Support continuous improvement efforts in quality and process control
  • Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area

Requirements:

  • Technical education or certification in electronics/mechanics (IPC, OSHA, SMTA cert preferred)
  • 1–3 years of experience in a QC role in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with testing tools and quality procedures
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Good English (reading/writing technical material)
  • Able to see/identify small components on close-up, clearly
