Quality Analyst & Control Lead (Data Center Operations)

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

We are seeking a QA/QC Lead to drive audit, compliance, and quality governance across edge data center operations, with a focus on network services, hardware repair, and rack provisioning. This role is responsible for ensuring that all services are executed consistently in line with defined processes, standards, and operational procedures. The QA/QC Lead will act as the primary authority on quality execution, auditing field activities, identifying gaps, and enforcing adherence to established standards across distributed edge environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead QA/QC governance across edge operations by ensuring strict adherence to defined processes, standards, and service execution procedures.
  • Plan and execute regular audits of network installations, rack provisioning, and repair activities to verify compliance with technical and operational standards.
  • Develop and maintain audit frameworks, inspection checklists, and quality control plans aligned with service requirements.
  • Identify process deviations, workmanship issues, and compliance gaps; drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Partner with operations and engineering teams to standardize procedures and eliminate variability in service execution.
  • Track and report on audit findings, non-conformances, and recurring quality issues; provide actionable insights to leadership.
  • Monitor field execution quality across edge sites, ensuring consistency despite geographic distribution and varying technician skill levels.
  • Enforce quality gates across key workflows, including staging, provisioning, repair validation, and post-deployment verification.
  • Oversee vendor and third-party compliance with contractual quality standards; conduct audits and manage remediation plans.
  • Support development and rollout of SOPs, work instructions, and training materials to improve execution quality.
  • Act as escalation point for quality-related issues impacting service delivery or customer experience.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–5+ years of experience in QA/QC, data center operations / network infrastructure deployment.
  • Strong understanding of rack provisioning, structured cabling, power systems, and network installation practices.
  • Proven experience in audit execution, compliance monitoring, and process enforcement.
  • Familiarity with QA/QC frameworks, standards, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., ISO, Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective cross-functional communication and stakeholder management.
  • Experience in edge or distributed data center environments and managing in hyperscale environments
  • Knowledge of server and network hardware (switches, routers, optics).
  • Experience managing cross functional vendor relationships and field service providers.
