Quality Assessment Expert (all genders)
The role of the Quality Assessment Expert is pivotal in overseeing and executing comprehensive assessments of Metro entities worldwide, including Metro Countries, International Trading Offices, and FSD companies, in alignment with Metro's stringent Global Quality Standards. With the freedom to act decisively, this position involves evaluating compliance and quality performance, culminating in the meticulous management of assessment reports. These reports serve as a critical communication bridge, delivering actionable insights and compliance status updates to our top management, guiding strategic decisions for continuous quality enhancement.
WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED:
- To plan, prepare and conduct Global QA Assessments across METRO entities, including METRO Countries, FSD companies and International Trading Offices, ensuring compliance with Global QA Standards.
- To perform assessments remotely (e.g. Quality Management System assessments) and on-site (e.g. stores, depots, production sites and FSD companies), including extensive international travel.
- To evaluate assessment results, align findings with assessed entities and communicate assessment outcomes through professional reporting and closing meetings.
- To prepare, review and communicate assessment reports and key findings to senior management, including the SVP Quality Assurance.
- To monitor, track and support achievement of Global QA Assessment KPIs and contribute to assessment governance and performance reporting.
- To support the development, calibration, qualification and continuous improvement of the Global QA assessor community through training programs, workshops and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- To develop, maintain and continuously improve assessment methodologies, standards, checklists, guidance documents and other Quality Assurance tools.
- To contribute to the continuous improvement of the Global Quality Management System (QMS) and assessment governance framework by identifying improvement opportunities and implementing best practices.
- To support Ultra Fresh Operations initiatives through the development of training materials, operational guidance and best-practice communication related to food safety and quality.
- To participate in cross-functional projects supporting food safety, quality assurance and operational excellence across METRO entities.
- To have a deep knowledge of the HACCP and GQA standards.
- Experience with implementing and auditing Quality Management Systems.
- Lead auditor training
- Minimum 3 years of audit experience related to Quality Management systems in a multinational company.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including good presentation and report writing skills.

- Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
- Excellent knowledge on the Metro QA requirements (QA Manuals and Standards)
- A keen interest in International Food Quality and Safety Standard for wholesale
- Excellent technical knowledge in food quality and safety.
- Fluency in English is mandatory, additional languages would be considered an advantage.
