Quality Assurance Officer
Job Summary
This QA role ensures food quality, hygiene, safety, and compliance with company and regulatory standards by monitoring production, conducting inspections, maintaining documentation, and supporting food safety programs.
Responsibilities
- Monitor food production and handling processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Conduct hygiene, sanitation, and food safety inspections to identify and address risks
- Perform quality checks on raw materials, packaging, and finished products to maintain product integrity
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations throughout production and storage
- Maintain accurate QA records, reports, and audit documentation for traceability and compliance
- Investigate customer complaints and quality issues to identify root causes and implement solutions
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to develop and implement corrective actions
- Support internal and external food safety audits by preparing documentation and facilitating inspections
- Train staff on food safety and hygiene practices to promote compliance and awareness
- Verify proper labelling, storage, and temperature control procedures to safeguard product quality
- Assist with additional operational tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management related to QA and food safety
