ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Design Quality Engineer's responsibility is to ensure that Jabil's project and product quality management processes encompass all activities of the executing organization that determine quality policies, objectives, and responsibilities, thereby enabling projects to meet their established requirements. The Design Quality Engineer implements the quality management system through policies, procedures, and processes for quality planning, quality assurance, and quality control, and, where appropriate, conducts continuous process improvement activities throughout the process.

  • Internal Audit planning and execution, and supports external QMS audit and CAPA/8D closure.

  • Design Non-Conformance Corrective & Preventive Action (CAPA/8D) follow-up.

  • Assists to facilitate QMS and design site process/documents: (1) RFQ; (2) PRD; (3) SoW; (4) D-FMEA; (5) Quality Assurance Plan; (6) Master Product Verification Test Plan; (7) ECR/ECN/ECO; (8) Gate Deliverable Review; (9) Customer Satisfaction Survey (CSS) / QBR feedback; (10) Customer Quality requirements.

  • QMS Documents Management, Global procedures/WIs/templates review and Gap Analysis process, site QMS documents management.

  • To review quality requests from customers and deploy improvement actions. Including customer’s CSS, QBR, quality complaint and feedback.

  • As quality contact point of design site to cooperate and respond Jabil’s manufacture site quality incident with relevant departments.

  • Supports and follows all Quality Management System and product development process, and execution to align with global wide mission and KPI target.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 5 years of working experience in QMS or DQA/DQE role related work and demonstrated leadership responsibilities in a production environment, engineering background is a must.

  • ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 Quality Management System, and Design Quality experience is essential and must be familiar with Electronic and/or Electrical product manufacture process.

  • Experience on RoHS/REACH/WEEE/PPW and global Green Product regulations/legislations management and study.

  • Good knowledge in statistical tools and software such as SPC, DOE, Taguchi, FMEA and Microsoft suite. Strong knowledge in Six Sigma concept is an advantage.

  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

  • Must demonstrate the ability to work well with people, internally and externally. Good communication skills and teamwork spirit, and a proactive and self-motivated working attitude. Result orientation in tasks assignment with aggressive attitude.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in engineering or equivalent education and training.

  • At least 5 years of experience in Quality engineering required.

  • Fluent communicator in the English language (speaking, reading, writing).
