• Monday thru Friday schedule, onsite.
• Mondy thru Thursday schedule, supporting 10 hour shifts.
• Friday thru Saturday schedule, supporting 12 hour shifts.

provide support across three shifts.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Quality Engineer II will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in both products and processes. This role will utilize your expertise in quality engineering principles and methodologies to identify and resolve quality issues, drive continuous improvement (CI), and maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations. The Quality Engineer II will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement quality strategies and support the development of a robust Quality Management System (QMS).ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

- Ensure elements associated with the First Article Inspection (FAI) process are completed and compliant for new products or product changes.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure special characteristic design features are monitored and compliant to requirements.
- Lead teams on applicable internal and/or customer audits and manages summary activity to assure that any identified corrective actions are completed effectively.
- Develop and steer opportunities to improve performance metrics and provide regular reports to management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate internal or customer issue resolutions using a structured problem-solving methodology.
- Maintain the quality verification processes within internal systems.
- Develop, implement, and monitor QMS processes and documentation in compliance to corporate requirements.
- Lead continuous improvement projects that focus on process improvement, performance improvement, product quality, employee safety, and/or customer satisfaction.
- Participate in the design review of new and revised products.
- Guide process design and mitigation of process risks through the development and implementation of tools such as process control plans, custom process controls, and inspection gauges.
- Develop and/or conduct training on quality and/or continuous improvement topics to associates.
- Oversee customer satisfaction data and metrics to drive CI, standardization, and optimization improvement initiative and provide regular reports on performance metrics.
- Develop and implement improvements to internal and customer disruption and corrective actions processes, ensuring data accuracy and clarity in initiating appropriate formal problem solving and non-conforming material processes.
- Lead the development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of applicable quality management system requirements ensuring alignment with corporate requirements and ISO9001:2015 standards.
- Provide support as necessary to other internal customer facing functions including occasional field support.
- Demonstrates regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings and completing assignments.
- Ability to work and interact well with others.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
- Provide guidance and coaching of continuous improvement or quality principles.
- Represent quality in cross-functional development and/or improvement projects.
- Support receiving inspection processes.
- Provide secondary or tertiary support for other team members as required.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor degree in engineering or another related field is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering or another related field, if degreed. Minimum of 9 years of experience in engineering or another related field, if non-degreed. Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, quality control, or quality assurance function is highly preferred.
Required Skills:
- Intermediate PC skills including spreadsheet, word processing and databases.
- Working knowledge of statistics and statistical methods used in quality functions.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/specifications.
- Proficiency with quality tools used for problem solving and quality improvement.
- Working knowledge of production processes, welding processes, and material properties.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Working knowledge of IATF, AS, or ISO quality management systems.
- Working knowledge and demonstrated application of AIAG or ASQ industry standard quality toolsets.
- Ability to accurately measure using precision metrology tools.
Preferred Skills
- Company product and application knowledge.
- Applicable American Society of Quality (ASQ) certification.
- Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
SPECIAL DEMANDS
- Ability to navigate the manufacturing floor to work with process operators and monitor process performance. Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for using gauges and measuring instruments.
- May require overnight travel (0-10%).
