About the role
We’re seeking a Quality Manager in Auckland to lead quality across GSK’s New Zealand business, acting as the primary Quality Responsible Person to ensure compliant, safe, and timely product supply. You will own and deliver a proactive Quality Improvement Plan aligned to local regulations and business strategy, foster a strong quality culture, and build effective relationships with key stakeholders in New Zealand and Australia to support GSK’s objectives in Innovation, Performance and Trust.
You will be a part of the AUNZ Quality hub and report to the AU Quality Lead.
Your role will be varied and will include:
Maintain and operate the local Quality Management System in line with GSK standards, GMP and local regulations, including self-inspections and support for external audits/inspections.
Review batch documentation to support timely lot release, and lead/participate in investigations, root cause analyses and corrective actions for deviations, complaints and audit findings.
Monitor quality performance metrics, perform trending, coordinate quality activities with third parties and cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Partner cross-functionally to support product launches and commercial activities while driving quality culture and strong stakeholder engagement.
About you
We are looking for a quality professional with strong leadership capability and the ability to operate effectively in a cross-functional, global environment.
You will need:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline (or equivalent professional qualification).
3–5 years’ quality assurance/operational quality experience in life sciences or pharma, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Strong practical knowledge of GMP/GDocP with experience in batch documentation review, in-process checks, product release, and managing deviations, CAPAs, investigations and quality records.
Proficient in MS Office and standard business systems with strong collaboration and communication skills.
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus
Experience with ERP/quality systems (e.g. SAP), data integrity principles, and leading self-inspections/internal audits or regulatory inspections.
Experience working with third-party manufacturers, warehousing and/or distribution operations.
Comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple priorities.
