Quantity Surveyor
- Preparing of costing for project tenders and quotations.
- Carry out project planning, material requisition, cost control, project management and documentation.
- Responsible for all activities on the project, the field team and people on site ensuring that quality and safety standards are not compromised.
- Ensure all works carried out in a safe manner and in compliance to safety procedures.
- Projects must be delivered on time, within budget and in accordance with the contract scope and specifications.
- To prepare and submit progress and ad-hoc reports for projects.
- Liaison will be required with the client for design and with management team, supply chain and vendors, suppliers, sub-contractors and internal support functions.
- The candidate will be fully accountable for the overall financial result of each project and will be expected to regularly monitor and review progress against plan and where necessary to take action to mitigate on overspending in costs.
Requirements
- Candidates must possess qualifications from PSPC-recognized QS-related degrees, such as in the discipline of Quantity Surveying, Building, Project & Facilities Management or other equivalent recognized qualifications.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant QS experience in construction, maintenance, A&A, or estate upgrading projects
- Candidates with more than 8 years of relevant experience and proven leadership capabilities may be considered for the QS
- Experience in public sector or town council projects will be an advantage
- Strong knowledge of contract administration and construction cost management
- Familiarity with standard forms of contracts, valuation of variations, and handling contractual disputes
- Good analytical, communication, and teamwork skillsProficient in Microsoft Office applications and QS software
- Able to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently
