Job Summary
You will manage quantity surveying tasks including take-offs, subcontractor sourcing, pricing, tender preparation, and project administration to support building construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform quantity take-offs to accurately measure materials and resources needed for construction projects
- Source and evaluate subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality service
- Prepare detailed tender submissions to support project bidding and contract acquisition
- Analyze price comparisons and prepare costing summaries to inform budgeting and decision-making
- Administer project documentation including interim valuations, contract variation pricing and agreements, and final account preparation
- Conduct site measurements to verify quantities and support project progress tracking
- Evaluate and certify subcontractor progress payments to ensure compliance with contract terms
- Execute additional quantity surveying duties as required to support project objectives
- Provide ad-hoc support and tasks assigned by supervisors to maintain project workflow
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying
- Minimum 2 years of experience in building construction
- Knowledge of building conditions of contract
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD
- Willingness to learn and ability to work effectively under pressure
