Quantity Surveyor
Job Summary
Assist in reviewing tender documents, preparing BOQ and quotations, liaising with sub-contractors for pricing, conducting site surveys, and maintaining client and supplier relationships to support construction cost management and fit-out works.
Responsibilities
- Review tender documents and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and quotations to support project bidding processes
- Liaise with sub-contractors and suppliers during the quotation phase to obtain accurate pricing and ensure competitive bids
- Conduct site surveys before or after project completion to gather necessary data for cost estimation and project planning
- Organize and maintain proper documentation to ensure accurate record-keeping and easy retrieval of project information
- Build and maintain professional rapport with clients, sub-contractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth project execution
- Perform ad-hoc duties assigned by superiors to support team and project needs
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline; other certifications with relevant experience considered
- Minimum one (1) year of relevant working experience in quantity surveying or construction cost management
- Knowledge of fit-out works is an added advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and measurement software, preferably AutoCAD
- Strong analytical skills applied to cost estimation and project evaluation
- Effective communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and support project coordination
- Ability to work independently with strong self-discipline and time management skills
