Quantity Surveyor
Roles & Responsibilities
- Calculate quantities, source sub-contractors and suppliers, price, and prepare tender submissions for projects including R&R, A&A, and Paints projects
- Analyze price comparisons and prepare costing summaries to support project budgeting
- Manage project administration and documentation such as interim valuations, contract variation pricing and agreements, claim submissions, and final account preparation
- Perform site measurements to verify project progress and quantities
- Evaluate and certify sub-contractor progress payments to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Manage all quantity surveying duties from pre-tender through post-contract stages
- Prepare and maintain contract documentation to support project execution
- Attend meetings and assist Project Manager with contract-related matters
- Prepare and submit monthly progress claims and variation work claims to clients
- Close final accounts for completed projects ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Liaise and coordinate with Clients, Consultants, Quantity Surveyors, Architects, Developers, and Contractors on payment certificates and claims
- Ensure timely and justified certification of client payments to maintain cash flow
- Monitor progress claim status and manage Accounts Receivable to support financial tracking
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Construction, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of quantity surveying experience in civil or building construction projects, including variation works such as A&A and R&R projects
- Proven track record of successful project implementation within the construction industry
- Proficient in interpreting construction technical drawings
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders
