Quantity Surveyor (QS)
Key Responsibilities
- Support the QS Manager in overseeingpost-contract cost controlling, project budgeting and cash flow forecastingacross construction assignments.
- Manage administration of main contracts andsubcontracts to enforce full adherence to contractual clauses and legalobligations.
- Support QS Manager in the assessment, pricingand commercial negotiation of Variation Orders, alongside full lifecyclemanagement of project variations.
- Compile, audit and certify interim progressclaims, validate supplier/subcontractor invoices and coordinate the wholepayment approval workflow.
- Draft periodic cost analysis reports, financialforecasts and regular commercial performance updates for internal managementreview.
- Assist QS Manager with project final accountclosure, encompassing final account negotiation and settlement with clients,subcontractors and relevant stakeholders.
- Resolve routine contractual queries, preparecontractual claims and participate in preliminary negotiation for disputemitigation.
- Work closely with onsite project teams toquantify the financial and programme implications arising from design or scopeamendments.
- Participate in end-to-end tender administration:source subcontract quotations, conduct cost benchmarking and carry out tenderpricing analysis.
- Attend site inspections and regular progresscoordination meetings, maintain consistent communication with clients,consultants and main contractor.
Job Requirements& Education
- Diploma /Degree in QS, Construction or relatedfields.
- Minimum 3 years construction QS experience;knowledge of Singapore HDB/commercial contract frameworks is preferred.
- Familiarity with Commercial and HDB contracts& tendering works is advantageous.
- Capable of autonomous work, multitasking andmeeting tight deadlines.
