Overview Leading the development of Packaging solutions for the Asia Foods Markets with a particular focus on new products exported from Mainland China, Taiwan. The role covers innovation, productivity and sustainability initiatives. Responsibilities Deliver packaging solutions that support the Innovation agenda for the Asia Foods, and IndoChina Foods Business units, within agreed timings and budget. Identify, evaluate, and validate new packaging materials, formats, and processing technologies to support innovation and productivity targets. Autonomously represent the R&D Packaging Function in cross-functional project meetings. Design the supply chain validation plan and join the validation in PEP site or COMAN site to validate new packaging designs Create and maintain unambiguous packaging specifications that are compliant with PepsiCo R&D best practices. Design and validate the proper multi pack or promotion pack based on business requirements Provide coaching and guidance to one junior Packaging Engineer. Demonstrate and exercise a commitment to promote, develop and improve the health, safety and welfare of our people. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or above in Packaging Engineering, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline. Strong written and spoken English proficiency is essential. Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders, across geographies. Minimum 4 years of experience in the Packaging Industry (R&D experience preferred) with strong knowledge of Packaging materials, formats and processes. Proven project management capability, with strong prioritisation and execution skills Creative, open-minded, and a fast learner. Positive, forward-thinking, and self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership.
