The Position

Job Description

China Innovation Center of Roche (CICoR) functions as a center of excellence for research and early development, and CICoR Oncology group is looking for a motivated and curious intern student majoring in Biotechnology or related fields to join our team. This role offers a unique cross-functional experience, combining dry-lab data analysis, wet-lab experimental support, and creative science communication. You will work closely with senior scientists and bioinformaticians, gaining hands-on industry experience.


  • The main responsibilities of the position include:
    • Bioinformatics & Data Analysis Support
      • Assist in basic bioinformatics workflows.
      • Support the team in data visualization, creating charts, and organizing datasets for internal research projects.
      • Learn and utilize internal platforms or open-source tools to assist in literature mining and biological database searches.
    • Wet-Lab Experimental Assistance
      • Support routine laboratory operations, including reagent preparation, sample archiving, and inventory management under strict safety guidelines.
      • Assist scientists in executing basic molecular biology or cell culture experiments (training will be provided).
    • Science Communication & Video Creation

Brainstorm, script, and produce short promotional or educational videos to showcase team achievements, lab technologies, or internal scientific events.



  • Qualifications / Discipline:

Bachelor of Biotechnology degree in relevant fields.


  • Skills:

Strong motivation and leadership in pursuing challenging scientific questions.
